Some Office 2019, Office 2016, and Office 2013 products come with a product key. If yours did, before installing Microsoft 365 for the first time, sign in with an existing or new Microsoft account and enter your product key at office.com/setup. Redeeming your key is what links your account with Microsoft 365 so you only have to do this once. Already did this? Select the tab below for the version you're trying to install.
If Office was pre-installed on your new device, you must start a Microsoft 365 Family trial or buy Office to continue using it. If you don't want to buy Office, you can select Use free at Office.com to use Office on the web in your browser.
You can evaluate a free trial of Visual Studio Professional or Visual Studio Enterprise for 30 days. And if you sign in, you can extend the trial period to 90 days. (Visual Studio Community doesn't require you to sign-in. However, if the installation prompts you to sign-in periodically, sign in to continue using Visual Studio Community without interruptions.)

A few weeks back, Microsoft provided users the option to download Microsoft Office 2013 on a trial basis. While the final build of Office 2013 is expected in May 2013, however individual users and businesses can test drive the reinvigorated Version of Microsoft Office to determine its suitability for future use. The trial version of Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus comes with all the famous applications that are used by corporate and common users, including MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and others.
The trial version of Office 13 requires downloading a setup file which then fetches the entire Office suite via the internet. This means that you might have to wait for half an hour or more to install Office 2013 (depending on your internet connection speed). As the current version of Office has not reached its final stage, therefore users might face bugs and functionality issues. This is why it might be a good idea to install Office in a virtual environment to test out its various features before upgrading to the final version (next year). Such a measure might be quite useful for system administrators who might require deploying the latest Office suite in a corporate environment, once the final version becomes available. For instructions regarding installation of Office in a virtual environment, see this post: Installing Office 2013 [Preview] in a Virtual Environment.
You can download the latest version of Microsoft Office 2013 from the download link given below. The trial version comes with all commonly used Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Access, Publisher and Lync.
You can install and run this trial version for 30 days almost like a full copy. If you are doing a project that's going to be over in a small duration, such as a month, then, this is a great option. Of course, that is not the intent behind a free trial. Microsoft rightfully assumes that you will like the product after the trial period is over, and will buy a licensed copy. Trial copies are available for both the Windows and Mac versions of Microsoft Office (both as part of the Microsoft 365 trial). Do note that you will be asked to provide your credit card details before you download the 30-day trial, and you will be charged for a year as soon as your trial ends. If you do not wish to pay for now, make sure you cancel the subscription to Microsoft 365 before your 30 days are over.
Now, install MS Office 2010/2013 on your new computer. If it already has a trial MS Office version, delete it first. Later, you can use the MS Office installer (or its CD) on your new PC to perform its setup.

Keep in mind that its a 60-day trial version but there are no limitations or restrictions. So you can use it for 2 months approx.
@MaxOf course you can upgrade to RTM version from Preview version. All you have to do is uninstall all the preview version of office before installing an RTM version. It is also recommended that you restart/reboot the PC after uninstalling the preview because some time Office 2013 RTM will just simply refuse to be installed in such scenario where a Preview version has been installed.

I recently installed the iOS 13.1.2 software on my 2013 MacBook Pro. Now I cannot access Word/Excel/PP docs already on my computer. I can open them but cannot edit. I get the message "start one month free trial Microsoft Office 365 or activate existing subscription". I got the Microsoft package when I purchase the laptop and thought it was part of my purchase. It has been 5 years and when I look for an existing subscription, nothing is on file. Should I purchase the package? Just want to make sure this is not spam or maybe it is time for a new laptop! :) Please advise, many thanks.

I'd like to try out Office 365. Can I do that without paying? Yes. Microsoft offers a 30-day free trial to Office 365 Home Premium (but not University). You must provide a credit card, however, which will be automatically billed at the end of the trial unless you cancel the deal before the 30 days are up.
I've been running the free preview of Office 365 Home Premium. What do I do if I want to convert to a subscription? Microsoft says you must uninstall the Office 2013 apps from your Windows machine. Yes, we know that's a pain, but it's what Microsoft says.
